Most analysts predict that the Bitcoin will cross the last peak at 20k this year

Trading Bitcoin isn’t exactly a new thing. Bitcoin is a digital currency created in January 2009. Bitcoin offers the promise of lower transaction fees than traditional online payment mechanisms and is operated by a decentralized authority, unlike government-issued currencies. There are no physical bitcoins, only balances kept on a public ledger in the cloud, that – along with all Bitcoin transactions – is verified by a massive amount of computing power. Bitcoins are not issued or backed by any banks or governments, nor are individual bitcoins valuable as a commodity.

There are a lot reason for trading Bitcoin!

Bitcoin remains the most valuable and talked about cryptocurrency, as well as the most actively traded on exchanges. Launched in 2009, this digital asset’s price has fluctuated wildly over the past years, making it attractive for day traders who have started applying forex trading strategies to it.

There are now several trading platforms and online exchanges that let you trade bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies –  but beware trading costs, platform security, and reputation/trust before diving.

The growing popularity of bitcoin as an alternative investment has drawn the attention of forex brokers who are looking to expand their offerings. Some define bitcoin as a traditional currency, especially since the trading of bitcoins is not based on macroeconomics of a nation, but instead the underlying platform and broader reaction to shifts in global economics.

Trading bitcoin shares many similarities, but doing so through a forex broker is not required, and could be more costly if they charge higher fees than traditional bitcoin platforms like Coinbase. Investors should consider the risks associated with bitcoin and alternative currencies, and decide whether that form of speculation is right for their portfolios.
